What Are Mobile Phone Activation Fees in Egypt? As of January 2025, customs and tax fees are applied to mobile phones imported from abroad. These are officially referred to as “Phone Activation Fees.” These fees are paid once only, calculated at approximately 38.5% of the device’s value, and must be paid through the official "Telephony" app within 90 days of activating the device in Egypt. |
Do All Devices on Your Website Include These Fees? No. At Ennap.com, we provide two clear options depending on your needs: - Local Warranty Devices: These devices come with fully paid fees, and you won’t need to pay anything extra after purchase. |
Will I Need to Pay Anything Later If I Choose a Fees-Paid Device? No. If you choose the fees-paid version, the price displayed on the website includes all government fees. No additional payments or steps are required. |
What’s the Difference Between a Fees-Paid and a Non-Paid Device? - Fees-Paid: Ready for immediate use in Egypt. No further actions or payments required. - Not Paid: Works for 90 days only in Egypt, after which you’ll need to pay the activation fee via the Telephony app to avoid service interruption. |
