How to Choose a Gaming Controller

Start with the console. For the PS5, the DualSense wireless controller is Sony's own: haptic feedback lets you feel each action, adaptive triggers push back as you pull them, a built-in microphone has a quick mute button, and the battery charges over USB-C. It also connects to a PC, a Mac, Android and iOS, so the same controller plays PC and mobile games. The DualSense Edge comes in the PS5 Pro 30th Anniversary Limited Edition bundle.

For the Nintendo Switch 2, the Nintendo Switch 2 Pro Controller adds GL and GR back buttons you can map per game, a C Button that opens GameChat, HD Rumble 2, a 3.5mm headset jack and up to 40 hours of play, with a full charge in 3.5 hours. It works only with the Nintendo Switch 2, not with earlier Switch models. The consoles are on our Nintendo page.

If one controller has to cover several devices, the Fantech NOVA II D WGP16D works with the PS5, a PC, iOS and Android over Bluetooth 5.3 or USB-C, with a touchpad, gyro aiming, rear paddles and up to 10 hours of play. The Fantech Revolver III WGP12S connects through a 2.4GHz dongle with both USB-C and USB-A plugs and reaches a 1000Hz polling rate on a PC, a Nintendo Switch and Android. Both use Hall-effect sticks and triggers, which read position with magnets instead of contact, so they are built to resist stick drift.

For racing games, the Logitech G29 Driving Force Racing Wheel combo gives dual-motor force feedback, 900 degrees of rotation, a hand-stitched leather rim, a three-pedal set with a clutch and a 6-speed shifter, and it works with the PS5, PS4, PS3 and a Windows PC. The Logitech G Driving Force Shifter is also sold on its own for the G29 and G920 wheels. More PS5 gear is in gaming accessories, and the consoles are in gaming consoles.

Gaming Controllers – Frequently Asked Questions

How much is a PS5 controller?

The current price of the DualSense is shown on its product page, along with the price of every other controller, from Fantech wireless controllers to the Logitech G29 racing wheel.

Is the DualSense at Ennap.com original?

Yes. The DualSense wireless controller sold at Ennap.com is an original Sony product. Every controller here is an original product from its brand, with its warranty shown on its product page.

Does the PS5 controller work on the PS4?

No. The DualSense is made for the PS5 and also connects to a PC, a Mac, Android and iOS. The PS4 uses its own DualShock 4 controller.

Can I use a PS5 controller on a PC or a phone?

Yes. The DualSense connects to Windows PCs, Macs, Android and iOS. The Fantech NOVA II D WGP16D also works with the PS5, a PC, iOS and Android, over Bluetooth 5.3 or a USB-C cable.

Which controller works with the Nintendo Switch 2?

The Nintendo Switch 2 Pro Controller is made for the Nintendo Switch 2 and does not work with earlier Switch models. The Fantech Revolver III WGP12S lists the Nintendo Switch among its platforms, along with a PC, Android and the PS3.

What is stick drift, and how do Hall-effect sticks help?

Stick drift is when the character keeps moving after you let go of the stick, usually because a contact sensor wears out. Hall-effect sticks read position with magnets instead of contact, so they are built to resist drift; the Fantech NOVA II D WGP16D and the Fantech Revolver III WGP12S use them for both sticks and triggers.

Is there a racing wheel for the PS5?

Yes. The Logitech G29 Driving Force Racing Wheel combo works with the PS5, PS4, PS3 and a Windows PC, with force feedback, three pedals and a 6-speed shifter. The Logitech G Driving Force Shifter is also sold separately for the G29 and G920.

What is the difference between the DualSense and the DualSense Edge?

The DualSense Edge adds back buttons, replaceable stick modules and adjustable trigger stops to the features of the DualSense. It comes in the PS5 Pro 30th Anniversary Limited Edition bundle.

Should I choose a wired or a wireless controller?

A wireless controller lets you sit anywhere in the room, and most can also play over a cable: the Fantech NOVA II D WGP16D connects over Bluetooth or USB-C, and the Nintendo Switch 2 Pro Controller over Bluetooth or USB-C with charging while you play.
