A tracker finds your things through your phone's finding network, so choose it by phone. With an iPhone, the Apple AirTag (2nd generation) works in the Find My app and, compared with the first AirTag, finds items with Precision Finding from up to 1.5 times further away on iPhone 15 or later (except iPhone 16e and iPhone 17e) and iPhone Air, with a speaker that is 50% louder. Precision Finding also works on Apple Watch Series 9 or later and Apple Watch Ultra 2 or later. The original Apple AirTag also works in Find My, with Precision Finding on iPhone 11 or newer. With an Android phone, the eufy SmartTrack Link for Android works with Google Find Hub on Android 9 or later, rings at up to 80 dB and runs up to a year on a CR2032 battery. The Samsung Galaxy SmartTag2 works through SmartThings Find with up to 120 metres of Bluetooth range, lasts up to 500 days on one battery or 700 days in power saving mode, and supports Precision Finding with UWB on compatible phones.

The Xiaomi Tag weighs 10g and works with either Apple Find My or Google Find Hub, one network at a time, so it suits a home with both iPhone and Android phones. It is rated IP67 and runs more than a year on a replaceable CR2032 battery. The eufy SmartTrack Link for iPhone (T87B0011) works in Apple Find My, rings your phone with a double press even on silent, and carries a QR code that helps whoever finds your item contact you.

Hang one on your keys, slip one into a wallet or drop one in a suitcase before you travel. When the item is out of Bluetooth range, nearby phones on the same network pick up its encrypted signal and update its location on your map, visible only to you, and the eufy app alerts you when you walk away from a bag you left behind. For privacy, Android phones alert their owners if an unfamiliar AirTag is travelling with them.

Does AirTag work with Android?

No. The Apple AirTag (2nd generation) needs an iPhone with iOS 26 or an iPad with iPadOS 26 or later. With an Android phone, choose the eufy SmartTrack Link for Android or the Xiaomi Tag, which work with Google Find Hub, or the Samsung Galaxy SmartTag2 for Samsung phones.

What is the difference between AirTag (2nd generation) and the first AirTag?

The AirTag (2nd generation) finds items with Precision Finding from up to 1.5 times further away, its speaker is 50% louder so you can hear it from up to twice as far, and Precision Finding works on Apple Watch too. Both generations are rated IP67 and use a replaceable CR2032 battery.

Do trackers need charging?

No. Every tracker on this page runs on a replaceable CR2032 battery: more than a year in the AirTag (2nd generation) and the Xiaomi Tag, up to a year in the eufy SmartTrack Link and up to 500 days in the Galaxy SmartTag2.

Can I put an AirTag in my luggage?

Yes. Put it inside the suitcase, and when you are away from it, its last location appears on the map in Find My, Google Find Hub or SmartThings Find, depending on the tracker.

Can I follow my child's location with a tracker?

The trackers on this page report their location when a phone on their network passes nearby, and they cannot make calls. Are the trackers waterproof?

The AirTag (2nd generation), the Xiaomi Tag and the Galaxy SmartTag2 are rated IP67, so they handle dust and being dropped in water up to 1 metre deep for 30 minutes. The eufy SmartTrack Link for iPhone is water resistant.

Can the tracker find my phone?

Yes, on some models. Press the eufy SmartTrack Link for Android and your phone rings, double-press the eufy SmartTrack Link for iPhone and your phone rings even on silent, and the button on the Galaxy SmartTag2 rings your phone too.
