Start with the size of your laptop. The Lenovo B215 holds laptops up to 15.6 inches and weighs 360g empty, and its body is only 95mm deep, so it stays flat against your back on a crowded commute. The Lenovo B210 and the Lenovo Select Targus 16-inch Sport Backpack take laptops up to 16 inches; the Targus weighs 0.43kg and adds two water bottle pockets and reflective accents for the walk home after dark.

For a large gaming laptop, the Lenovo Legion 17-inch Active Gaming Backpack holds a 17-inch laptop or a full gaming keyboard in its padded main compartment, and a quick-access opening lets you pull the laptop out at a security check without unzipping the whole bag. These laptop backpacks suit students and commuters who carry a laptop every day.

For the office, the NASEEG Work Slim Laptop Bag is a slim business handbag in two sizes, for laptops up to 14 inches or up to 17 inches, with room for papers. The NASEEG Organized Crossbody Bag carries a 15.6-inch laptop and a tablet in separate padded pockets, with an organiser panel for keys, phone, wallet and cards. The NASEEG River Backpack has 9 inside and outside pockets and a rear strap that slides over a suitcase handle.

To protect a tablet inside a bag you already own, the X-Doria Canvas Sleeve Case fits the iPad Pro 11, iPad Air and tablets up to 11.6 inches, and the WiWU Gent sleeve fits a 13.3-inch MacBook or tablet. For trips, the NASEEG Move Duffel Travel Bag and the WiWU Camou Jungle Pouch, a multi-pocket travel organiser, keep your things in one place. Each product page lists the laptop size the bag fits, so compare it with your laptop before you order.
