The Apple iPhone Duo is a foldable iPhone with a 5.4-inch outer display, a 7.6-inch inner folding display, the A20 Pro chip and a 48MP Dual Fusion camera system.
Two displays in one foldable iPhone
Closed, you use the 5.4-inch outer display for calls, messages and quick tasks. Open, the phone becomes a 7.6-inch folding display with a nano-texture finish for reading, video and work. Both displays have the Dynamic Island, Always-On, ProMotion up to 120Hz and up to 3000 nits outdoors. Both also support Apple Pencil (USB-C) for notes, sketches and document markup, with support delivered through an iOS software update.
Two apps side by side with Split View
On the inner display, iOS 27 runs two apps next to each other with Split View, so you can read in one and write in the other. The phone also stands half-folded in a tent or laptop position for watching video or making FaceTime calls, and StandBy works on either display.
Touch ID and Camera Control, open or closed
The iPhone Duo unlocks with Touch ID in the side button, the same way whether the phone is open or closed. The phone also has Camera Control, which adjusts exposure, depth and zoom and switches between cameras.
Grade 5 titanium and a hinge built for daily folding
The frame and hinge cover are grade 5 titanium, and the hinge uses more than 100 components to control opening and closing and support the centre of the display. High-strength glass sits above and below the folding panel, the outer front is Ceramic Shield 2 with three times better scratch resistance, and the phone is rated IP68. It comes in Night Sky and Star White.
To protect it, choose the iPhone Duo Case, a thin two-part case, or the iPhone Duo Folio with Kickstand, which adds a stand and a cover over the outer display. To write on either display, add the Apple Pencil (USB-C).

- 4K Dolby Vision video: Up to 120 frames per second on the Fusion Main, Cinematic mode up to 4K at 60 frames per second, and Spatial Audio recording.
- Two front cameras: A 12MP Center Stage camera at f/2.2 on the outer display, and an under-display FaceTime camera at f/1.8 in the inner display.
- Two batteries: One battery in each half gives up to 24 hours of typical use, and up to 44 hours of video playback on the outer display or 31 hours on the inner one.
- Fast charging: 50% in about 20 minutes with a 60W adapter or higher, and MagSafe and Qi2 wireless charging up to 25W. The power adapter is sold separately.
- USB-C with USB 3: Transfers up to 10Gb/s and supports DisplayPort for an external screen.
- Dual eSIM only: Two active eSIMs on the Apple C2 5G modem, with Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6 and Thread on the Apple N1 chip. The phone has no physical SIM tray.
