Product Details
The Apple Pencil (USB-C) is a stylus for iPad and iPhone Duo with pixel-perfect precision, low latency and tilt sensitivity, and it pairs and charges through USB-C.
Precise writing for notes, sketches and markup
The Apple Pencil (USB-C) responds with pixel-perfect precision and low latency, so handwriting and lines appear where the tip touches the screen. Tilt sensitivity lets you shade by angling the pencil, which suits note taking, sketching, annotating PDFs and journaling.
Pairs and charges through USB-C
A sliding cap reveals the USB-C port. Connect it to your iPad or iPhone Duo with a USB-C cable to pair and charge it. The flat side attaches magnetically to the side of iPad for storage, and the pencil goes into a sleep state there to save battery.
The Apple Pencil (USB-C) also works on both displays of iPhone Duo. If you need pressure sensitivity, double-tap or Find My on a compatible iPad, choose the Apple Pencil Pro.
Apple Pencil (USB-C) Key Features:
- iPhone Duo support: Write, sketch and mark up documents on the inner or outer display of iPhone Duo. This support comes with an iOS software update.
- Wide iPad compatibility: Works with iPad (A16), iPad (10th generation), iPad mini (A17 Pro) and iPad mini (6th generation), plus many iPad Air and iPad Pro models listed in the specifications below.
- Apple Pencil hover: On iPad Pro (M4 and M5), iPad Pro 11-inch (4th generation), iPad Pro 12.9-inch (6th generation), iPad Air (M2, M3 and M4) and iPad mini (A17 Pro), you see a preview of where the tip will land before it touches the screen.
- Software requirement: On iPad, the pencil needs iPadOS 17.1.1 or later, so update older iPads before pairing it.
- Light to hold: At 20.5 grams and 155 mm long, it is light to carry with your iPad.
- Clear limits: This model has no pressure sensitivity, double-tap, squeeze, barrel roll, haptic feedback, Find My or wireless charging.
