Product Details

The ASUS Dual GeForce RTX 3050 V2 OC Edition 8GB GDDR6 pairs an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 with 8GB GDDR6 on a 128-bit bus, a 1852 MHz boost clock in OC mode and a PCI Express 4.0 interface.

The ASUS Dual GeForce RTX 3050 V2 OC Edition 8GB GDDR6 is built around the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 with 2560 CUDA cores. It is factory-overclocked: 1852 MHz in OC mode and 1822 MHz in gaming mode, switchable in the GPU Tweak III software rather than by flashing anything. Memory is 8GB GDDR6 running at 14 Gbps across a 128-bit interface, and the card connects over PCI Express 4.0.

Display output is one DVI-D output, one HDMI 2.1 output and one DisplayPort 1.4a output with HDCP 2.3, driving up to three screens at once and a maximum digital resolution of 7680x4320. The DVI-D output is the part worth noting: an older monitor with a DVI cable plugs straight in, with no adapter in between.

Physically the card measures 200 x 123 x 38 mm and occupies 2 slots, so measure your case before ordering. Power comes through a single 6-pin connector and the recommended power supply is 450W. This model has no RGB lighting, which suits a build meant to stay visually quiet.

ASUS Dual GeForce RTX 3050 V2 OC Edition 8GB GDDR6 Key Features:

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 with 2560 CUDA cores - with the ray tracing cores and Tensor cores that make DLSS and ray-traced lighting available in the games that support them.
8GB GDDR6 on a 128-bit bus at 14 Gbps - the memory headroom that keeps high-resolution textures resident instead of streaming them in mid-scene.
Factory overclocked to 1852 MHz - OC mode out of the box, with 1822 MHz in gaming mode; you switch between them in ASUS GPU Tweak III.
PCI Express 4.0 interface - and it stays backward compatible, so it works in a PCIe 3.0 motherboard slot.
One DVI-D output, one HDMI 2.1 output and one DisplayPort 1.4a output - with HDCP 2.3 and support for up to three displays at once.
DVI-D output included - an older monitor connects directly without an adapter, which matters when the screen is staying and only the card is being replaced.
Maximum digital resolution of 7680x4320 - enough headroom for an 8K panel or a multi-monitor setup.
200 x 123 x 38 mm across 2 slots - the exact figures to check against your case clearance before you order.
450W recommended power supply - through a single 6-pin connector.
No RGB lighting - a clean look for a build that is not meant to draw attention, and one less component to configure.
ASUS GPU Tweak III - clock, fan curve and monitoring from one utility, with the OC and gaming mode settings one click apart.

Product FAQs

What power supply do I need?
The recommended power supply for a system built around this card is 450W, based on a fully overclocked GPU and CPU. The card draws power through a single 6-pin connector, which any standard power supply already has.

Will it fit my case?
The card measures 200 x 123 x 38 mm and takes up 2 slots. Check your case specification for maximum graphics card length and the number of free expansion slots before ordering - length is the figure that catches most people out.

Does it work in a PCIe 3.0 motherboard?
Yes. The card uses PCI Express 4.0 and the standard is backward compatible, so it runs in a PCIe 3.0 slot. On the older slot the available bandwidth is lower, but the card works.

How many monitors can I connect?
Three at once. The outputs are one DVI-D output, one HDMI 2.1 output and one DisplayPort 1.4a output, with HDCP 2.3 support and a maximum digital resolution of 7680x4320.

Can I use it with an older DVI monitor?
Yes. The card has a native DVI-D output, so a monitor with a DVI cable connects directly with no adapter in between. That is worth knowing when the screen is staying and only the graphics card is being replaced.

What is the difference between OC mode and gaming mode?
OC mode raises the boost clock from 1822 MHz to 1852 MHz. Both are set at the factory and you switch between them inside ASUS GPU Tweak III, with no BIOS flashing involved.

Does it have RGB lighting?
No. This model has no RGB lighting, which keeps the build visually quiet and removes one component to configure.

How is it different from the other RTX 3050 version?
The RTX 3050 comes in two versions here. This V2 model has 8GB of memory on a 128-bit bus, 2560 CUDA cores, a 1852 MHz OC clock and a 6-pin power connector. The other is the RTX 3050 6GB, with 6GB on a 96-bit bus, 2304 CUDA cores, a 1537 MHz OC clock and no power connector at all. Above both sits the RTX 3060 V2 with 12GB on a 192-bit bus.

Do I need to install drivers?
Yes. Install the official GeForce driver from NVIDIA after fitting the card. Windows may load a basic display driver on its own, but the full driver is what enables the card's features and the per-game optimisations.

Does it support ray tracing and DLSS?
Yes. This is a GeForce RTX card, so ray tracing and DLSS are supported; which of them a given title actually uses is set from that game's own graphics options.

What software is it used with?
ASUS GPU Tweak III for clock, fan curve and monitoring, and the GeForce Game Ready Driver or Studio Driver depending on whether the machine is used mainly for games or for creative work. All of it is downloaded, not supplied on a disc.
