Product Details
The Dell E2423H is a 24-inch Full HD VA monitor with 3000:1 contrast, DisplayPort and VGA inputs, a flicker-free screen, a tilting stand and VESA mounting.
The Dell 24 Monitor E2423H has a 23.8-inch viewable screen (60.5 cm) at 1920 x 1080 Full HD in a 16:9 format. With 93 pixels per inch, text and lines look crisp on this screen size, and the compact footprint leaves room on the desk for a laptop, documents or a second monitor.
The VA (Vertical Alignment) panel reaches a typical 3000:1 contrast ratio, so dark areas look deeper and black backgrounds look less grey, in dark-mode apps as well as in films. Brightness is 250 nits, the panel shows 16.7 million colours with a colour gamut of 72% NTSC (CIE 1931), and 178-degree viewing angles keep the picture consistent when you look from the side.
An anti-glare coating with 3H hardness reduces reflections from windows and office lights. The bezels measure about 12.8 mm on the top and sides, so the frame around the picture stays slim, which helps when two monitors sit side by side.
The screen refreshes at 60Hz with a 5 ms grey-to-grey response in Fast mode (8 ms in Normal mode). That is a good match for office work, browsing, video and casual games. Fast-paced competitive games benefit from a higher refresh rate than this monitor offers.
Connect a desktop or laptop over DisplayPort 1.2 for a digital signal, or use the VGA input for an older computer. A DisplayPort cable comes with the monitor. The E2423H has no HDMI port; Dell sells a separate model with HDMI and VGA, the E2423HN.
For long working days, the screen is flicker-free, and the ComfortView preset lowers the amount of blue light the screen emits. The on-screen menu adds Standard, Warm, Cool and Custom Color presets, and the monitor is compatible with Dell Display Manager.
The stand tilts from -5 to 21 degrees. It does not adjust in height or swivel, so if you need more positions, remove the stand and fit the monitor to a VESA 100 x 100 mm arm or wall bracket (sold separately). A security-lock slot takes a cable lock for shared offices and classrooms.
The monitor runs directly from mains power (100 to 240V) through a single power cable, without an external adapter. It draws 16W in on mode and 0.3W in standby, and it is ENERGY STAR certified, TCO Certified Edge and EPEAT registered where applicable. At 3.85 kg with the stand, it is also easy to move between desks.
