What Are Mobile Phone Activation Fees in Egypt?
As of January 2025, customs and tax fees are applied to mobile phones imported from abroad. These are officially referred to as “Phone Activation Fees.”
These fees are paid once only, calculated at approximately 38.5% of the device’s value, and must be paid through the official "Telephony" app within 90 days of activating the device in Egypt.
Do All Devices on Your Website Include These Fees?

No. At Ennap.com, we provide two clear options depending on your needs:

- Local Warranty Devices: These devices come with fully paid fees, and you won’t need to pay anything extra after purchase.
- International Devices (without local warranty): These may not have their fees paid, but for some products, we offer a fees-paid version at a discounted price.
Will I Need to Pay Anything Later If I Choose a Fees-Paid Device?
No. If you choose the fees-paid version, the price displayed on the website includes all government fees. No additional payments or steps are required.
What’s the Difference Between a Fees-Paid and a Non-Paid Device?
- Fees-Paid: Ready for immediate use in Egypt. No further actions or payments required.
- Not Paid: Works for 90 days only in Egypt, after which you’ll need to pay the activation fee via the Telephony app to avoid service interruption.

How Do I Know If a Device Has the Fees Paid? The fee status is clearly mentioned on each product page—either in the product description or among the available purchase options.

What Is the Value of the Fees?
The fees vary depending on the device model. You can:

  • Contact us directly to check the fee for a specific device.
  • Or visit our Help Center to view the official fee values.

Who Sets the Fee Amount, and Can It Change?Fees are set by the National Telecom Regulatory Authority
Each model has a fixed amount, though the government may update values periodically.

How Do I Pay the Fees If I Choose a Device Without Paid Fees?
Fees are paid through the official “Telephony” app:

  1. Download the app.
  2. Enter the IMEI number of your device.
  3. Pay using a bank card or another available payment method.

What Happens If I Don’t Pay the Fees After 90 Days?
Your device’s cellular services (calls, mobile data, SMS) will be suspended. It will only work again after the fee is paid via the app.

Can I Buy the Device Now and Pay the Fees Later?
Yes, you have a legal grace period of 90 days from the date of activation inside Egypt to pay the fee via the Telephony app.

Product Details

The HIKSEMI T300S SHIELD is a pocket-size portable SSD with an aluminium body, a USB Type-C port and read speeds up to 560MB per second, available in 512GB, 1TB and 2TB.

Backups that finish while you wait
Copy a folder of holiday photos or a finished video project, and the transfer is done before you get up to make a coffee. The HIKSEMI T300S SHIELD is a SATA solid state drive that reads at up to 560MB per second and writes at up to 500MB per second, about four times faster than a traditional external hard drive. Real speed depends on the device and the port you connect it to.

HIKSEMI T300S SHIELD portable SSD layered body with a USB Type-C cable connected

Pocket-size, with a metal body
It slips into a shirt pocket, a pencil case or a laptop sleeve without adding bulk. The drive measures 78.3 x 61.4 x 12.45 mm and weighs only 48 g, and its aluminium alloy shell stays sturdy in a bag full of chargers and keys. There are no moving mechanical parts inside, so a bump on the way to work is far less of a worry for your files than it is with a spinning hard disk.

Two HIKSEMI T300S SHIELD portable SSDs with an aluminium alloy body

From the office laptop to your Android phone
Back up the day's work from the office PC, open the same files on a Mac at home, or move videos off a phone that is running out of space. The T300S SHIELD works with Windows, Mac and Android 4.0 or later, and connects to Android phones and tablets through an OTG cable. It is plug and play, so the drive is ready as soon as you connect it.

HIKSEMI T300S SHIELD Key Features:

  • 512GB, 1TB or 2TB: pick the capacity that fits your library from the product options; the official maximum read and write speeds are the same for all three.
  • USB 3.2 Type-C interface: a reversible Type-C port, so the cable goes in the right way the first time, even when you plug it in without looking.
  • Blue working indicator: a small blue light shows the drive is connected and active, a quick check before you unplug it.
  • Made for large creative files: a practical drive for designers, video editors and photographers who carry projects between computers, and for everyday personal and office backups.
  • Operating range of 0°C to 40°C: the drive is rated to work within this range, so keep it out of direct sun and away from a hot car dashboard.
  • CE, RoHS and FCC certified: the T300S SHIELD carries CE, RoHS and FCC certification for safety and electronic compliance.
