Insta360 GO Ultra is built for capturing genuine point-of-view footage without carrying a large camera or spending time rigging a mount. At 53 grams with a built-in magnetic mount, it attaches to a shirt, helmet, or any magnetic surface and starts recording immediately. This generation brings a significant image quality improvement through a much larger 1/1.28" sensor and a 5nm AI chip, enabling 4K at 60fps video and 50MP photos. The standalone camera is waterproof to 10 meters without any case, and supports microSD storage up to 2TB. With the Action Pod, total recording time extends to 170 minutes in 4K or 200 minutes in 1080p, and it charges from 0 to 80% in just 12 minutes.
Key Features :
- 1/1.28" Sensor with 5nm AI Chip: The photosensitive area is 221% larger than the GO 3S, delivering 200% more detail in low light conditions. The new chip provides 50x more computing power than the previous generation, enabling real-time image processing that was simply not possible before in this form factor.
- 4K60fps Video with Active HDR and 2x Clarity Zoom: 60fps recording means smooth, fluid footage in fast-paced scenarios like sports and cycling. 4K Clarity Zoom provides 2x optical-quality zoom without resolution loss. Active HDR (up to 4K30fps) captures balanced detail in both bright highlights and shadows simultaneously.
- Ambient Light Sensor — A First for Insta360: The GO Ultra is the first camera in Insta360's lineup to include this sensor. It detects the surrounding light environment in real time and automatically adjusts color calibration for more accurate, true-to-life visuals. It also eliminates the flickering that typically occurs when shooting under artificial lighting.
- 53g Body with Magnetic Mount System: The camera connects instantly to any magnetic surface using its built-in magnet, and works with the included Magnet Pendant and Magnetic Easy Clip accessories. Easy Twist lets you switch between 9:16 portrait and 16:9 landscape shooting orientation with a single twist of the wrist.
- IPX8 Waterproof to 10 Meters Without a Case: The standalone camera can be submerged for swimming, surfing, and diving straight out of the box. The Action Pod carries an IPX4 splash-resistance rating. For deeper dives up to 60 meters, the optional Dive Case accessory provides maximum waterproofing with the Action Pod attached.
- Ultra-Fast Charging with Long Battery Life: The standalone camera runs for 70 minutes in 4K on a full charge, and the Action Pod extends that to 170 minutes in 4K or 200 minutes in 1080p. Charging speed is one of the standout specs: 0 to 80% in just 12 minutes for the standalone camera.
- Removable microSD Storage Up to 2TB: One of the most practical upgrades over the GO 3S, which used fixed internal memory. Now you can swap cards in seconds and continue shooting without transferring files first.
- FlowState Stabilization with 360° Horizon Lock: The stabilization algorithm compensates for intense movement including running, cycling, and water sports. Horizon Lock keeps the frame level even when the camera is flipped completely upside down.
- Voice Control 2.0, Gesture Control, and QuickCapture: Start recording with a voice command, trigger a photo with a peace sign gesture, or begin filming by showing your palm. QuickCapture starts shooting instantly with a single button press. None of these require touching or looking at the camera.
- Professional-Grade Audio with Wind Noise Reduction: Three audio modes — strong wind noise reduction, light wind noise reduction, and original stereo — recorded at 48kHz/32-bit quality. This level of audio spec is uncommon for a camera this small.
