The Insta360 GO Ultra is a pocket-sized 4K action camera with a large 1/1.28-inch sensor and a built-in magnetic base, letting you wear or mount it almost anywhere for true point-of-view footage.
The Insta360 GO Ultra works as two parts that pair together: a lightweight Standalone Camera weighing just 52.9g that clips magnetically to a cap, clothing, or any metal surface, and an Action Pod with a flip-out touchscreen for framing, control, and extended battery life. A 1/1.28-inch sensor that is significantly larger than the previous generation, combined with a 5nm AI chip, captures cleaner detail and more accurate color across lighting conditions. The camera also adds an Ambient Light Sensor that calibrates color in real time and reduces flicker in dim scenes.
For video, the Insta360 GO Ultra records at 4K 60fps for fast action, supports 1080p 240fps slow motion, and offers Active HDR up to 4K 30fps for a wider dynamic range. For darker scenes, PureVideo mode applies dedicated low-light processing to reduce noise. It also captures still photos up to 50MP. All of this sits in a body that is waterproof to 10m on the Standalone Camera with no case required.
Insta360 GO Ultra Key Features:
- Wearable magnetic design: The Standalone Camera weighs only 52.9g and has a built-in magnetic base, so it clips to a cap, collar, or any metal surface, or attaches to the Magnet Pendant and Easy Clip for hands-free point-of-view shots.
- 4K 60fps video: Records smooth, stabilized 4K 60fps footage with a bitrate up to 180Mbps and H.264 and H.265 encoding for higher quality and more efficient files.
- Large 1/1.28-inch sensor: A far bigger sensor than the previous generation captures more light for cleaner, richer detail, especially in low light, paired with a 5nm AI chip.
- Ambient Light Sensor: The first Insta360 camera with an ambient light sensor that calibrates color in real time and reduces flicker in dim conditions for more natural footage.
- PureVideo low-light mode: Dedicated processing that lowers noise and improves dynamic range when shooting in the dark or in dim lighting.
- Stabilization and Horizon Lock: Keeps footage steady through movement, with Horizon Lock holding the frame level no matter how the camera tilts.
- FreeFrame and slow motion: Shoot first and reframe horizontally or vertically later in the app, with 1080p 240fps slow motion for dramatic action.
- Waterproof to 10m: The Standalone Camera is IPX8 rated to 10m with no case, extending to 60m with the separate Dive Case.
- Extended battery and fast charging: The Standalone Camera records up to 70 minutes, reaching 200 minutes with the Action Pod, and fast charging brings the camera back to 80% in about 12 minutes.
- Voice and gesture control: Start recording with a single press like a point-and-shoot, or use voice commands and hand gestures to shoot hands-free.
- Touchscreen and microSD storage: The Action Pod has a 2.5-inch flip-out touchscreen and supports microSD cards up to 2TB for extended recording.
