The Nothing CMF Clip Pro is an open-ear earbud that clips onto the edge of your ear rather than sealing it, pairing a 10.8 mm driver with LDAC Hi-Res audio and 32.5 hours of battery.

Each bud weighs 5.92 g and sits on the ear through a flexible C-bridge that holds it in place without pressing anything into the ear canal. Because the ear stays open, traffic, a colleague or a platform announcement remains audible while music plays, which is what makes this shape work for commuting, desk hours and running alike. There are no tips to size and nothing to push in, so the fit stays the same from the first minute to the last.

Sound comes from a 10.8 mm dynamic driver with a TPU and LCP diaphragm — larger than most clip-on drivers, which is what keeps low frequencies present in a design that never seals the ear. The response covers 20 Hz to 40,000 Hz and the buds carry LDAC Hi-Res Wireless certification, with LDAC, AAC and SBC available depending on the phone. CMF's own tuning adds the Malleus algorithm, which lifts bass and cuts treble distortion, alongside Static Spatial Audio for a wider stage. In the Nothing X app you get five equaliser presets and one custom profile to shape the rest yourself.

The charging case is topped by a Smart Dial, a metal knob that replaces hunting for a button. A single press plays or pauses, a double press answers or ends a call, a triple press skips forward, and a press and hold wakes the voice assistant — on a Nothing phone it can instead be set to wake ChatGPT or Nothing AI News. Double press and hold locks the dial so nothing happens by accident in a pocket. Each earbud also keeps its own physical button for playback and volume, which stays reliable when a touch surface would not.

Do these block out background noise?
No, and that is the point. The CMF Clip Pro clips onto the edge of the ear and leaves the ear canal open, so traffic, station announcements and someone speaking to you stay audible. There is no active noise cancellation, because sealing the ear would remove the reason to choose an open-ear design in the first place.
