What Are Mobile Phone Activation Fees in Egypt?
As of January 2025, customs and tax fees are applied to mobile phones imported from abroad. These are officially referred to as “Phone Activation Fees.”
These fees are paid once only, calculated at approximately 38.5% of the device’s value, and must be paid through the official "Telephony" app within 90 days of activating the device in Egypt.
Do All Devices on Your Website Include These Fees?

No. At Ennap.com, we provide two clear options depending on your needs:

- Local Warranty Devices: These devices come with fully paid fees, and you won’t need to pay anything extra after purchase.
- International Devices (without local warranty): These may not have their fees paid, but for some products, we offer a fees-paid version at a discounted price.
Will I Need to Pay Anything Later If I Choose a Fees-Paid Device?
No. If you choose the fees-paid version, the price displayed on the website includes all government fees. No additional payments or steps are required.
What’s the Difference Between a Fees-Paid and a Non-Paid Device?
- Fees-Paid: Ready for immediate use in Egypt. No further actions or payments required.
- Not Paid: Works for 90 days only in Egypt, after which you’ll need to pay the activation fee via the Telephony app to avoid service interruption.

How Do I Know If a Device Has the Fees Paid? The fee status is clearly mentioned on each product page—either in the product description or among the available purchase options.

What Is the Value of the Fees?
The fees vary depending on the device model. You can:

  • Contact us directly to check the fee for a specific device.
  • Or visit our Help Center to view the official fee values.

Who Sets the Fee Amount, and Can It Change?Fees are set by the National Telecom Regulatory Authority
Each model has a fixed amount, though the government may update values periodically.

How Do I Pay the Fees If I Choose a Device Without Paid Fees?
Fees are paid through the official “Telephony” app:

  1. Download the app.
  2. Enter the IMEI number of your device.
  3. Pay using a bank card or another available payment method.

What Happens If I Don’t Pay the Fees After 90 Days?
Your device’s cellular services (calls, mobile data, SMS) will be suspended. It will only work again after the fee is paid via the app.

Can I Buy the Device Now and Pay the Fees Later?
Yes, you have a legal grace period of 90 days from the date of activation inside Egypt to pay the fee via the Telephony app.

Product Details

Xiaomi 17 proves that a compact phone doesn't mean compromising on performance or camera quality. At 6.3 inches with dimensions built for comfortable one-handed use, it's powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset on a 3nm process, paired with a triple Leica camera system where each lens captures at 50 megapixels — including the Summilux main lens, a floating telephoto lens, and an ultra-wide lens. A 6330mAh silicon-carbon battery delivers long usage time despite the compact form factor, supported by 100W wired fast charging and 50W wireless charging. The LTPO AMOLED display runs at a 120Hz refresh rate with brightness up to 3500 nits for clear visibility in any condition. The phone supports dual SIM and full 5G connectivity, along with an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance.

Key Features :
  • Triple 50MP Leica Camera System: The main camera uses a Leica Summilux lens with an f/1.67 aperture and a Light Fusion 950 sensor (1/1.31") with Super Pixel technology for better low-light performance. The second lens is a floating telephoto with a 60mm equivalent focal length, supporting close-up macro shots from as near as 10cm. The third lens is an ultra-wide camera with a 102° field of view. The system supports digital zoom up to 60x and classic Leica photographic styles (Authentic and Vibrant looks).
  • Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 on 3nm Process: Qualcomm's latest flagship chipset, with two prime cores reaching up to 4.6GHz and six performance cores at 3.62GHz, paired with an Adreno GPU. It delivers strong performance for heavy gaming, photo processing, and AI tasks, supported by Xiaomi's 3D IceLoop cooling system to maintain sustained performance without significant heat buildup, even within the phone's compact body.
  • LTPO AMOLED Display with 3500-Nit Brightness at 120Hz: A resolution of 1220×2656 pixels at 464 PPI, with a dynamic refresh rate ranging from 1Hz to 120Hz to save battery on static content. The display supports Dolby Vision, HDR10+, and HDR Vivid, covers 100% of the DCI-P3 color gamut, and is protected by Xiaomi Shield Glass.
  • 6330mAh Silicon-Carbon Battery with 100W Charging: Despite its compact size, the battery delivers an exceptional capacity thanks to silicon-carbon technology, which achieves higher energy density without increasing physical size. Wired charging reaches up to 100W (supporting PD3.0, QC3+, and PPS), wireless charging up to 50W, plus 22.5W wired and wireless reverse charging to power other devices.
  • 50MP Front Camera with Autofocus: A meaningful upgrade over the previous generation's 32MP fixed-focus selfie camera. The new sensor captures sharper detail with genuine autofocus.
  • Full Connectivity: Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, NFC, and Infrared: Wi-Fi 7 support delivers faster, more stable connections, while Bluetooth 6.0 supports high-quality audio codecs (aptX HD, aptX Adaptive, LDAC, LHDC 5.0). The built-in infrared port enables control of compatible home appliances, and the phone supports GPS, GLONASS, GALILEO, BeiDou, QZSS, and NavIC for positioning.
  • IP68 Water and Dust Resistance: The phone withstands submersion in static fresh water up to 1.5 meters for up to 30 minutes under specific laboratory test conditions.
  • Ultrasonic Under-Display Fingerprint Sensor: Faster and more reliable than traditional optical sensors, performing better even with wet fingers.
  • Stereo Speakers with Dolby Atmos: A dual-speaker setup with Dolby Atmos support, paired with a 4-microphone array for clearer audio capture during calls and video, plus Hi-Res Audio and Hi-Res Audio Wireless certification.
  • Up to 1TB Storage with LPDDR5X RAM: Available in multiple storage configurations (256GB, 512GB, 1TB) with LPDDR5X RAM and fast UFS 4.1 storage.
