The POCO F9 Pro runs on the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 V Series built on a 3nm process, with two Prime cores reaching 4.6GHz and six Performance cores at 3.62GHz, an Adreno GPU and a separate VisionBoost D8 graphics chip that handles frame work in supported games. Memory is 12GB of LPDDR5X running at 9600 megabits per second, paired with UFS 4.1 storage in 256GB or 512GB, and the whole system runs Xiaomi HyperOS 3. Three finishes are offered: Black, White and Aurora Green.

What is the difference between the POCO F9 Pro and the POCO F9 Ultra?
Both run the same Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 with the VisionBoost D8 graphics chip and both carry a 185Hz AMOLED panel, IP68 and Gorilla Glass 7i. The Ultra moves up to a 6.9-inch screen at 2608 x 1200, a 50MP periscope telephoto at 120mm instead of a 50MP 60mm lens, a 50MP ultra-wide instead of 8MP, 8K video recording, an 8050mAh battery instead of 6330mAh, an independent subwoofer with sound tuned by Bose, and configurations up to 16GB with 1TB. The F9 Pro is the lighter of the two at 206g against 235g.

How fast does the battery charge?
The 6330mAh battery supports 100W wired HyperCharge and 50W wireless HyperCharge. It also works in reverse, giving up to 27W over a cable or 22.5W wirelessly to charge earbuds, a watch or another phone from the handset itself.

Does the screen really reach 185Hz?
Yes, the AMOLED panel refreshes at up to 185Hz, which supported games can take advantage of for smoother motion. Touch sampling runs at up to 480Hz normally and jumps to 4800Hz in instant response mode, which is what shortens the gap between your finger landing and the game reacting.

How bright is the display outdoors?
Peak brightness is rated at 10,000 nits across 1% of the panel and 4,500 nits across 25% of it. Those are peak figures for small highlights rather than a full-screen number, but in practice they mean HDR highlights punch through and the screen stays legible in direct sunlight.

Is the 200MP camera useful, or does it just make huge files?
