What Are Mobile Phone Activation Fees in Egypt?
As of January 2025, customs and tax fees are applied to mobile phones imported from abroad. These are officially referred to as “Phone Activation Fees.”
These fees are paid once only, calculated at approximately 38.5% of the device’s value, and must be paid through the official "Telephony" app within 90 days of activating the device in Egypt.

Do All Devices on Your Website Include These Fees?

No. At Ennap.com, we provide two clear options depending on your needs:

- Local Warranty Devices: These devices come with fully paid fees, and you won’t need to pay anything extra after purchase.
- International Devices (without local warranty): These may not have their fees paid, but for some products, we offer a fees-paid version at a discounted price.

Will I Need to Pay Anything Later If I Choose a Fees-Paid Device?
No. If you choose the fees-paid version, the price displayed on the website includes all government fees. No additional payments or steps are required.

What’s the Difference Between a Fees-Paid and a Non-Paid Device?
- Fees-Paid: Ready for immediate use in Egypt. No further actions or payments required.
- Not Paid: Works for 90 days only in Egypt, after which you’ll need to pay the activation fee via the Telephony app to avoid service interruption.

How Do I Know If a Device Has the Fees Paid? The fee status is clearly mentioned on each product page—either in the product description or among the available purchase options.

What Is the Value of the Fees?
The fees vary depending on the device model. You can:

Contact us directly to check the fee for a specific device.
Or visit our Help Center to view the official fee values.

Who Sets the Fee Amount, and Can It Change?Fees are set by the National Telecom Regulatory Authority
Each model has a fixed amount, though the government may update values periodically.

How Do I Pay the Fees If I Choose a Device Without Paid Fees?
Fees are paid through the official “Telephony” app:

Download the app.
Enter the IMEI number of your device.
Pay using a bank card or another available payment method.

What Happens If I Don’t Pay the Fees After 90 Days?
Your device’s cellular services (calls, mobile data, SMS) will be suspended. It will only work again after the fee is paid via the app.

Can I Buy the Device Now and Pay the Fees Later?
Yes, you have a legal grace period of 90 days from the date of activation inside Egypt to pay the fee via the Telephony app.

Product Details

The Xiaomi REDMI Headphones Neo are over-ear wireless headphones with adaptive noise cancelling up to 42dB, a 40mm titanium-plated driver and around 72 hours of battery life on a charge.

Adaptive noise cancelling up to 42dB cuts engine rumble, office chatter and air conditioning. Three noise cancelling levels let you choose how much of the room you want to hear, and the adaptive mode adjusts as your surroundings change.

A 40mm titanium-plated dynamic driver with a composite titanium diaphragm moves plenty of air. Bass has weight and stays controlled, and vocals keep their detail at higher volume.

Battery life is around 72 hours on a single charge with noise cancelling switched off, from a 600mAh cell. That covers a week of commuting between charges.

A 10 minute charge gives up to 5 hours of playback over USB Type-C. A quick top-up before you leave the house is enough for most of a day.

Three microphones with AI-powered call algorithms keep your voice clear, and wind noise cancellation is rated for wind up to 5 metres per second. Outdoor calls stay usable instead of turning into static.

Bluetooth 5.4 holds the link across a 10 metre open space. Dual-device connection keeps a laptop and a phone paired at the same time, so an incoming call interrupts what you are watching without re-pairing. On Android, Google Fast Pair sets everything up with one tap.

The USB-C port also carries audio. In USB audio mode the frequency response reaches 20Hz to 40kHz against 20Hz to 20kHz over Bluetooth, and the Hi-Res Audio certification applies to wired playback only. A USB-C cable is not supplied in the box, so add one if Hi-Res is important to you.

Protein leather ear cushions over low-pressure breathable foam sit on an adjustable headband. At 263g with a 32 ohm impedance, the headphones stay comfortable across a long flight or a full working day.

The Xiaomi Earbuds app handles the equaliser, the noise cancelling level and firmware updates from your phone. The finish is Mist Blue, a soft grey-blue with a matt surface, as listed in the product options.

Product FAQs

How long does the battery last?
Around 72 hours on a single charge with noise cancelling switched off, from a 600mAh battery. Switching noise cancelling on shortens that figure.

How much noise do they block?
Up to 42dB with adaptive noise cancelling, across three selectable levels. Steady low sounds such as engine rumble and air conditioning drop the most.

Is a cable included for Hi-Res Audio?
No. A USB-C cable is not supplied in the box, and the Hi-Res Audio certification applies to wired playback only. Add a USB-C cable if you want the 20Hz to 40kHz wired mode.

Can I connect to two devices at once?
Yes. Dual-device connection keeps a laptop and a phone paired at the same time, so a call on the phone interrupts whatever the laptop is playing.

Do they work with an iPhone?
Yes, over standard Bluetooth 5.4. Google Fast Pair one-tap setup is an Android feature, so on an iPhone you pair from the Bluetooth settings as usual.

How do I change the noise cancelling level?
From the Xiaomi Earbuds app, which also holds the equaliser and firmware updates.

Are they comfortable for long sessions?
The ear cushions are protein leather over low-pressure breathable foam on an adjustable headband, and the whole headphone weighs 263g, which is moderate for an over-ear model.

Are they good for calls outdoors?
Three microphones work with AI call algorithms, and wind noise cancellation is rated for wind up to 5 metres per second, so a call on a breezy street stays usable.

How fast do they charge?
A 10 minute charge gives up to 5 hours of playback. Charging is over USB Type-C at 5V 600mA.

What is the wireless range?
10 metres in open space free of obstacles, over Bluetooth 5.4. Walls and furniture shorten that in practice.
