The Xiaomi Robot Vacuum S40 Pro vacuums and mops with 15000Pa suction, two rotating mop pads and an extending side brush and mop that clean right into corners.
Extending side brush and mop for corners and edges
When the Xiaomi Robot Vacuum S40 Pro reaches a corner, its side brush extends to clean at a 0mm distance from the edge, covering up to 100% of inner right-angle corners in lab tests. The mop pad also extends outward to wipe within 1mm of the wall, so the strip along skirting boards is cleaned without a second pass by hand.
15000Pa suction and two rotating mop pads
A high-speed fan with aluminium-magnesium alloy blades reaches 15000Pa of suction and picks up 99% of large particles on hard floors in standard vacuum mode. Behind it, two mop pads rotate at 180rpm in a hand-wiping motion to lift dried-on dirt, and the water tank has three flow levels to keep the pads damp without leaving water marks.
Carpet detection with automatic mop lift
Ultrasonic carpet detection raises the mop pads by up to 10mm as soon as the robot rolls onto a rug, so carpets stay dry. Choose one of four carpet modes per room in the app: clean carpet first, carpet avoidance, carpet crossing or ignore carpets.
Climbs thresholds up to 20mm
A floating main brush cover adapts to changes in floor height, and the S40 Pro climbs over thresholds and obstacles up to 20mm high, so it moves between rooms without getting stuck and keeps cleaning.

- 430mL dust box and 310mL water tank: large containers mean fewer stops to empty dust or refill water during a full vacuum and mop run.
- Dual anti-tangle system: the Y-shaped roller brush blocks, untangles and gathers hair before suction pulls it in, the side brush is also anti-tangle, and sealed end caps stop hair from winding around the roller ends.
- LDS laser navigation: a 360° laser scan builds an accurate map quickly, remembers maps of several floors, plans an S-shaped route and resumes cleaning where it stopped after recharging.
- 129° structured light obstacle avoidance: an ultra-wide 129° structured light sensor spots low obstacles in front of the robot, and cliff sensors stop it at stairs and drops.
- Four cleaning modes: choose vacuuming before mopping for a deeper clean, vacuuming only, mopping only, or vacuuming and mopping together for daily care.
- Rooms, zones and furniture areas: set no-go zones, clean a chosen room or a furniture area such as around the dining table, and get no-go zone suggestions where the robot often gets stuck.
- Progress and cleaning reports: the Xiaomi Home app shows the estimated remaining cleaning time during a run and a cleaning report after each run.
- Voice control: start cleaning with Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant on a compatible device.
