The Xiaomi Sound Pocket is a 200g Bluetooth speaker with a built-in subwoofer, IP67 dust and water protection and up to 10 hours of playback from one charge.
The whole point of this one is that you stop deciding whether to bring it. At 200g and 90.8 × 74.4 × 42.6mm it weighs about as much as a bottled coffee, and the rubber anti-loss lanyard clips it to a bag, a bike or a beach chair instead of taking up a hand.
Small speakers usually give up the low end first, so Xiaomi put a built-in subwoofer behind a large mesh area, which is what lets it push bass rather than thin the sound out at volume. Three tuning features run underneath: automatic equalisation adjusts across frequency bands, smart volume balancing keeps detail audible at low volume instead of collapsing it, and dynamic woofer extension reaches into low frequencies a cabinet this size would not normally manage.
IP67 is the rating that matters outdoors: fully dust tight and rated for immersion, not just splashes. That covers the pool, the beach and rain, so the speaker is not something you have to shelter.
Battery is 1000mAh for up to 10 hours at 40 percent volume, recharged in about 3 hours at 5V 1A.
