What Are Mobile Phone Activation Fees in Egypt?
As of January 2025, customs and tax fees are applied to mobile phones imported from abroad. These are officially referred to as “Phone Activation Fees.”
These fees are paid once only, calculated at approximately 38.5% of the device’s value, and must be paid through the official "Telephony" app within 90 days of activating the device in Egypt.

Do All Devices on Your Website Include These Fees?

No. At Ennap.com, we provide two clear options depending on your needs:

- Local Warranty Devices: These devices come with fully paid fees, and you won’t need to pay anything extra after purchase.
- International Devices (without local warranty): These may not have their fees paid, but for some products, we offer a fees-paid version at a discounted price.

Will I Need to Pay Anything Later If I Choose a Fees-Paid Device?
No. If you choose the fees-paid version, the price displayed on the website includes all government fees. No additional payments or steps are required.

What’s the Difference Between a Fees-Paid and a Non-Paid Device?
- Fees-Paid: Ready for immediate use in Egypt. No further actions or payments required.
- Not Paid: Works for 90 days only in Egypt, after which you’ll need to pay the activation fee via the Telephony app to avoid service interruption.

How Do I Know If a Device Has the Fees Paid? The fee status is clearly mentioned on each product page—either in the product description or among the available purchase options.

What Is the Value of the Fees?
The fees vary depending on the device model. You can:

Contact us directly to check the fee for a specific device.
Or visit our Help Center to view the official fee values.

Who Sets the Fee Amount, and Can It Change?Fees are set by the National Telecom Regulatory Authority
Each model has a fixed amount, though the government may update values periodically.

How Do I Pay the Fees If I Choose a Device Without Paid Fees?
Fees are paid through the official “Telephony” app:

Download the app.
Enter the IMEI number of your device.
Pay using a bank card or another available payment method.

What Happens If I Don’t Pay the Fees After 90 Days?
Your device’s cellular services (calls, mobile data, SMS) will be suspended. It will only work again after the fee is paid via the app.

Can I Buy the Device Now and Pay the Fees Later?
Yes, you have a legal grace period of 90 days from the date of activation inside Egypt to pay the fee via the Telephony app.

Product Details

The Apple HomePod mini 2 is a compact smart speaker with the Apple S10 chip and rich 360-degree sound that also runs your smart home, available in five colours.

Room-filling 360-degree sound from an 8.4 cm speaker
Put it on a shelf, a desk or the nightstand and the sound reaches every corner of the room evenly. At 8.43 cm tall, HomePod mini 2 pairs a full-range driver with dual force-cancelling passive radiators for deep bass and crisp highs, and the Apple S10 chip analyses the music in real time to tune loudness and dynamic range. It comes in White, Pink, Green, Blue and Midnight with a colour-matched woven power cord; choose the colour from the product options before ordering.

Home theater surround sound with Apple TV 4K
Four HomePod mini 2 speakers, a matching pair in front and another behind you, connected to Apple TV 4K (4th generation) turn the living room into a home theater, and the system calibrates timing and levels to the room. Two HomePod mini 2 speakers also work as a stereo pair for music.

Speakers for your Mac
Set HomePod mini 2 as the default speaker of a Mac with Wi-Fi 6E or later for films, games and video calls, on its own or as a stereo pair, with a connection that is more responsive and reliable than before.

Two HomePod mini 2 speakers in Pink as a stereo pair beside an iMac

For a complete home theater, Apple TV 4K (4th generation) and HomePod (2nd generation) are also available at Ennap.com, and Apple HomeView adds a screen for controlling your smart home.

Apple HomePod mini 2 Key Features:

Siri AI with a free software update: Siri AI comes to HomePod mini 2 as a free software update, bringing broad world knowledge, natural conversation and better music discovery. Personal requests need a paired Apple Intelligence–enabled iPhone or iPad, and Siri AI works in English.
Sound Glow: The top of the speaker glows and pulses with the music in colours taken from the album artwork, and when a soundscape such as rain is playing, the light matches its mood.
Smart home hub: Control Apple Home Collection, HomeKit and Matter accessories by voice or from the Home app on iPhone, even when you are away, and run automations and scenes. Thread is built in.
Temperature and humidity sensors: Check the conditions in any room, or use the readings to run automations in the Home app.
Smoke and carbon monoxide alarm alerts: Sound Recognition listens for smoke and carbon monoxide alarms and sends a critical alert to your iPhone, iPad or Apple Watch. It does not replace a safety device.
Intercom and multiroom audio: Send a voice message to one room or the whole house with Intercom, play the same music in several rooms through AirPlay, and bring your iPhone close to hand off a song to the speaker.
Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 6 and Ultra Wideband: Wi-Fi 6E keeps streaming stable, peer-to-peer discovery lets guests AirPlay without joining your network, and the Ultra Wideband chip senses when a U1-equipped iPhone is near.
Touch controls on a backlit top: Tap to play or pause, double-tap to skip, triple-tap to go back, touch and hold for Siri, and tap + or – for volume.
Up to six voices recognised: HomePod mini 2 recognises the voices of up to six people in the household, so each one gets their own music and personal requests.
Privacy at every step: Nothing you say leaves your home until HomePod mini 2 hears “Siri” or “Hey Siri” or you touch the top, and Siri requests use a random identifier instead of your Apple Account.

Product FAQs

What is new in HomePod mini 2 compared with the original HomePod mini?
HomePod mini 2 adds the Apple S10 chip, Wi-Fi 6E instead of 802.11n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 6 instead of 5.0, Sound Glow, surround sound with Apple TV 4K (4th generation), and use as a speaker for Mac. It keeps the same 8.43 cm height and 9.79 cm width, weighs 335 g instead of 345 g, and comes in White, Pink, Green, Blue and Midnight.

Can I make a stereo pair from HomePod mini 2 and my original HomePod mini?
No. A stereo pair needs two speakers of the same model and generation, so HomePod mini 2 pairs only with another HomePod mini 2. Both speakers can still play the same music at the same time through multiroom audio with AirPlay.

Does Siri on HomePod mini 2 understand Arabic?
No. Siri AI comes to HomePod mini 2 through a free software update and works in English, and the hands-free “Siri” and “Hey Siri” commands are available in English. Music playback, volume and Siri can also be controlled from the touch surface on top.

Do I need an iPhone to use HomePod mini 2?
Yes. HomePod mini 2 needs an iPhone or iPad with the latest iOS or iPadOS and Wi-Fi internet for setup, and personal Siri requests need a paired Apple Intelligence–enabled iPhone or iPad.

Is HomePod mini 2 available to order now?
HomePod mini 2 is a pre-order product that follows Apple's release schedule. The availability shown on this page is the reference before you place an order.

What is the difference between HomePod mini 2 and HomePod (2nd generation)?
HomePod (2nd generation) is the larger speaker at 6.6 inches tall, with a high-excursion woofer, a five-tweeter array, Spatial Audio and room sensing. HomePod mini 2 is 3.3 inches tall with a full-range driver and dual passive radiators, without Spatial Audio or room sensing. Both work as a smart home hub, form stereo pairs, play multiroom audio, detect smoke and carbon monoxide alarm sounds, and create surround sound with Apple TV 4K.

Can I use HomePod mini 2 for surround sound with Apple TV?
Yes. Four HomePod mini 2 speakers in matching front and rear pairs create surround sound with Apple TV 4K (4th generation) running the latest software, and the system calibrates audio to the room.

Which smart home devices work with HomePod mini 2?
HomePod mini 2 works as a home hub for HomeKit, Matter and Apple Home Collection accessories, such as lights, locks, blinds, thermostats and garage doors, with Thread built in. Smart home accessories are sold separately.

How is HomePod mini 2 powered?
HomePod mini 2 runs plugged in, using the 20W USB-C power adapter that comes in the box together with a colour-matched woven power cord. The adapter works on 100 to 240V.

Can HomePod mini 2 work as a speaker for my Mac?
