As of January 2025, customs and tax fees are applied to mobile phones imported from abroad. These are officially referred to as “Phone Activation Fees.”
These fees are paid once only, calculated at approximately 38.5% of the device’s value, and must be paid through the official "Telephony" app within 90 days of activating the device in Egypt.

Each model has a fixed amount, though the government may update values periodically.

How Do I Pay the Fees If I Choose a Device Without Paid Fees?
Fees are paid through the official “Telephony” app:

  1. Download the app.
  2. Enter the IMEI number of your device.
  3. Pay using a bank card or another available payment method.

What Happens If I Don’t Pay the Fees After 90 Days?
Your device’s cellular services (calls, mobile data, SMS) will be suspended. It will only work again after the fee is paid via the app.

Can I Buy the Device Now and Pay the Fees Later?
Yes, you have a legal grace period of 90 days from the date of activation inside Egypt to pay the fee via the Telephony app.

Product Details

The Apple HomeView (Wall Mounted) puts a 7-inch smart home screen with the A18 chip and Siri AI on your wall, so you control lights, locks and cameras from the entryway or hallway.

Smart home control where you walk in
Turn on the hallway lights, set the thermostat and check the front door camera as you come home, without taking out your phone. The wall-mounted HomeView is only 0.98 cm deep and weighs 286 g, with an enclosure made from 100% recycled aluminium in Silver or Space Gray. It attaches with a Schneider Home mount, which is required and sold separately.

A dashboard for the whole house
The Home Modular face keeps your favourite accessories one tap away, and the Home Camera face streams up to nine camera feeds at once. HomeView works as a home hub for Apple Home and Matter accessories with Thread support, groups related notifications such as a family member arriving and unlocking the door, and alerts your iPhone when it hears a smoke or carbon monoxide alarm.
