Product Details
The DELL Alienware 16 Aurora with RTX 5050 8GB and Core 7 240H is a gaming laptop with room to grow: 16GB of DDR5 upgradable to 32GB, a spare SSD slot and a 16-inch 120Hz screen.
DLSS 4 gaming on the RTX 5050
Start a game, switch on DLSS 4 and the frame rate climbs in supported titles. The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5050 has 8GB of GDDR7 video memory and supports ray tracing for more realistic lighting. Next to it, the Intel Core 7 240H brings 10 cores and 16 threads up to 5.2GHz with 24MB of cache, so voice chat and a browser stay open in the background while you play.
A taller 16-inch screen for long sessions
The 16:10 shape shows more of the map, the timeline or the page you are reading than a standard widescreen. The 16-inch WQXGA panel runs at 2560x1600 and 120Hz, covers 100% of sRGB at 300 nits and has an anti-glare finish, while ComfortView Plus lowers blue light late in the evening. Below it, a white backlit keyboard and a 115 x 70mm touchpad keep typing and gaming easy in a dim room.
Cables at the back, a tidy desk in front
Plug in the monitor, network cable and charger once, and they stay out of the way of your mouse hand. Most ports sit on the rear: HDMI 2.1 wired directly to the RTX 5050, two USB-C 10Gbps ports with DisplayPort 1.4a, a USB-A port and the power input. The left side adds gigabit Ethernet for steady online matches, a second USB-A port and a headset jack, and wireless runs on Wi-Fi 7 at up to 2882 Mbps with Bluetooth 5.4.
DELL Alienware 16 Aurora RTX 5050 Key Features:
- 16GB DDR5-5600, upgradable to 32GB: two 8GB modules run in dual channel today, and replacing them with two 16GB modules takes the laptop to 32GB when your games or editing projects need more.
- 1TB PCIe Gen 4 SSD plus a second slot: the M.2 2230 NVMe drive holds your main library, and the free M.2 2230 slot takes another drive of up to 1TB when space runs low.
- Up to three external monitors: with the laptop screen on, connect two displays over USB-C with DisplayPort 1.4a and one over HDMI 2.1, which works with G-SYNC capable monitors.
- 180W adapter with ExpressCharge Boost: the included 180W adapter gives full gaming performance, and ExpressCharge Boost adds about 35% charge in 20 minutes with the laptop switched off.
- USB-C charging from 90W: the USB-C port with Power Delivery also accepts an adapter of at least 90W, handy for study or office work away from the main charger.
- HD camera and two speakers: a 720p camera with digital-array microphones covers video calls and online classes, and two 2W speakers handle everyday sound.
- DOS installed: Windows is not preinstalled, so you set up Windows 11 Home, Windows 11 Pro or Ubuntu 24.04 LTS the way you prefer.
- 16-inch body from 2.49kg: at 356.98 x 265.43mm it fits backpacks and sleeves made for 16-inch laptops.
