At the heart of the DELL Alienware 16X Aurora is the Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX, a 24-core processor that combines 8 performance cores and 16 efficient cores, reaching 5.4GHz with 36MB of cache. It runs at 55W, so game engines, streaming software and background downloads all get room to work at the same time. A built-in Intel AI Boost NPU rated at up to 13 TOPS takes AI tasks such as background blur in compatible apps off the CPU and GPU.

Graphics come from the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Laptop GPU with 8GB of GDDR7. Dell rates the 16X Aurora platform at up to 115W of graphics power and up to 155W of total performance power shared between the processor and the GPU. DLSS 4 with Multi Frame Generation lifts frame rates in supported games, ray tracing adds realistic lighting and reflections, and NVIDIA Reflex 2 cuts input delay in competitive titles.

The 16-inch WQXGA display shows 2560 x 1600 pixels in a 16:10 shape that gives more vertical room than a standard widescreen. It refreshes at 240Hz with a 3ms response time using overdrive, and NVIDIA G-SYNC matches the refresh rate to the game to remove tearing. Brightness reaches 500 nits with 100% DCI-P3 colour coverage on an anti-glare surface, and ComfortView Plus lowers blue light for long evenings of play.

Memory is 32GB of DDR5 at 5600 MT/s, installed as two 16GB modules in dual channel. Both slots are standard SO-DIMM, so the laptop can be taken to 64GB later with two 32GB modules. Storage is a 1TB PCIe Gen 4 NVMe SSD, and a second M.2 slot accepts another 2230 or 2280 drive when your game library outgrows the first.

Dell built the 16X Aurora around a Cryo-Chamber structure that channels airflow straight to the processor and GPU, part of the Alienware Cryo-tech cooling design. Because it needs no rear thermal shelf, the body stays compact at 356.98 x 265.43 mm and slips into a regular backpack. When you want silence, Stealth Mode on the F7 key switches the keyboard lighting to white and the system to Quiet Mode in one press.

The lid and bottom cover are anodized aluminium over a magnesium alloy interior frame, finished in Interstellar Indigo with a satin texture and an iridescent Alienware logo. An angled front edge makes the lid easy to open, and a gently cushioned palm rest keeps long sessions comfortable. The laptop starts at 2.57 kg.

The 1-zone AlienFX RGB keyboard is backlit and fully customisable in Alienware Command Center, next to a large 115 x 70 mm Precision touchpad. Above the screen sits a Full HD 1080p camera with an infrared sensor for Windows Hello face sign-in, along with dual-array microphones, and two 2W stereo speakers handle game sound and calls.

Most cables plug in at the back to keep the desk tidy: a Thunderbolt 4 port at 40Gbps with DisplayPort 2.1 and Power Delivery, a USB-C 10Gbps port with DisplayPort, an HDMI 2.1 port wired directly to the RTX 5070, a USB-A 5Gbps port and the power input. The left side adds gigabit Ethernet, a second USB-A 5Gbps port and a headset jack. Wireless is Wi-Fi 7 at up to 2882 Mbps with Bluetooth 5.4.

A 96Wh six-cell battery supports ExpressCharge Boost, which adds about 35% in 20 minutes with the laptop switched off, and the 280W adapter is the one Dell specifies for RTX 5070 configurations. The laptop comes with Windows 11 installed.
