What Are Mobile Phone Activation Fees in Egypt?
As of January 2025, customs and tax fees are applied to mobile phones imported from abroad. These are officially referred to as “Phone Activation Fees.”
These fees are paid once only, calculated at approximately 38.5% of the device’s value, and must be paid through the official "Telephony" app within 90 days of activating the device in Egypt.

Do All Devices on Your Website Include These Fees?

No. At Ennap.com, we provide two clear options depending on your needs:

- Local Warranty Devices: These devices come with fully paid fees, and you won’t need to pay anything extra after purchase.
- International Devices (without local warranty): These may not have their fees paid, but for some products, we offer a fees-paid version at a discounted price.

Will I Need to Pay Anything Later If I Choose a Fees-Paid Device?
No. If you choose the fees-paid version, the price displayed on the website includes all government fees. No additional payments or steps are required.

What’s the Difference Between a Fees-Paid and a Non-Paid Device?
- Fees-Paid: Ready for immediate use in Egypt. No further actions or payments required.
- Not Paid: Works for 90 days only in Egypt, after which you’ll need to pay the activation fee via the Telephony app to avoid service interruption.

How Do I Know If a Device Has the Fees Paid? The fee status is clearly mentioned on each product page—either in the product description or among the available purchase options.

What Is the Value of the Fees?
The fees vary depending on the device model. You can:

Contact us directly to check the fee for a specific device.
Or visit our Help Center to view the official fee values.

Who Sets the Fee Amount, and Can It Change?Fees are set by the National Telecom Regulatory Authority
Each model has a fixed amount, though the government may update values periodically.

How Do I Pay the Fees If I Choose a Device Without Paid Fees?
Fees are paid through the official “Telephony” app:

Download the app.
Enter the IMEI number of your device.
Pay using a bank card or another available payment method.

What Happens If I Don’t Pay the Fees After 90 Days?
Your device’s cellular services (calls, mobile data, SMS) will be suspended. It will only work again after the fee is paid via the app.

Can I Buy the Device Now and Pay the Fees Later?
Yes, you have a legal grace period of 90 days from the date of activation inside Egypt to pay the fee via the Telephony app.

Frequently asked questions

What does international warranty mean?

The product was imported from outside Egypt through an importer, not through the product's local agent.

Why is the warranty period only 100 days?

Imported devices normally come without a warranty, but we give you 100 days to fully test and try the product.

Why doesn't the product come with a one-year warranty?

The product may not be available through a local agent at all, or not at the moment, so it is supplied from abroad with our 100-day warranty to give you peace of mind and the best experience.

When does the warranty start and how is it activated?

The warranty starts on the purchase date and we activate it automatically from that date.

What if the product is damaged by misuse, such as a broken screen, and what about spare parts?

We have a full maintenance department for all products and provide most spare parts for products sold with an international warranty. You can submit a maintenance request here. You can also service the product through the product's agent or other service centers if they have the spare parts.

Product FAQs

How much is the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold7 in Egypt?
The price of the Galaxy Z Fold7 at Ennap.com depends on the memory and storage option you choose, and the current price of each option is shown on this page next to the options.

What is the difference between the Galaxy Z Fold7 and the Galaxy Z Fold6?
The Galaxy Z Fold7 is thinner and lighter: 8.9mm folded and 215g, against 12.1mm and 239g for the Fold6. It also has larger screens at 8.0 and 6.5 inches instead of 7.6 and 6.3 inches, a 200MP main camera instead of 50MP, Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy instead of Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, a 10MP inner camera instead of an under-display one, and Wi-Fi 7. The 4,400mAh battery, 25W charging and IP48 rating stay the same, and S Pen support was dropped.

Does the Galaxy Z Fold7 support the S Pen?
No. The Galaxy Z Fold7 does not support the S Pen, including the S Pen Fold Edition that worked with earlier Fold models.

Is the Galaxy Z Fold7 waterproof?
The Galaxy Z Fold7 is water resistant, not waterproof. It is rated IP48, which covers fresh water down to 1.5 metres for up to 30 minutes and protection against solid objects larger than 1mm, but it is not sealed against fine dust or sand.

How long does the battery last, and how fast does it charge?
The 4,400mAh dual battery gives up to 24 hours of video playback. With a 25W adapter the Galaxy Z Fold7 reaches about 50% in 30 minutes, and it also supports Fast Wireless Charging 2.0. No charger comes in the box, so use your own 25W USB-C adapter or buy one separately.

Which storage option should I choose?
Choose 12GB with 256GB for everyday use, or 512GB if you keep many photos, 8K videos or offline files. The 16GB with 1TB option adds more memory for heavy multitasking. The Galaxy Z Fold7 has no memory card slot, so the storage you choose is the storage you keep.

Does the Galaxy Z Fold7 take two SIM cards?
Yes. The Galaxy Z Fold7 supports a Nano-SIM together with eSIM, so you can run two numbers on one phone.

How many years of updates does the Galaxy Z Fold7 get?
Seven. The Galaxy Z Fold7 gets seven generations of Android upgrades and seven years of security updates, starting from Android 16 with One UI 8.

How does the Galaxy Z Fold7 compare with the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra?
The Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra is the next generation of the same design. It keeps the 8.0-inch and 6.5-inch screens, the 200MP camera and the 215g weight, and moves to Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy, a 5,000mAh battery and 45W charging.
