Product Details

The Schneider Home Power Mount PoE Wired powers Apple HomeView (Wall Mounted) and gives it a wired internet connection through a single Ethernet cable hidden in the wall.

Power and wired internet on one cable
One Ethernet cable from a PoE switch carries both power and data, so HomeView gets a Gigabit Ethernet connection at 10, 100 or 1000 Mbps and stays online without relying on Wi-Fi. This helps in a hallway or entryway where the Wi-Fi signal is weak, and the household voltage does not matter because the mount draws its power from the network cable.

Schneider Home Power Mount PoE Wired installed on a kitchen wall with no visible cables

A flush install with a magnetic hold
The mount fits a single-gang wall box and is installed by a professional, leaving no plug or cable on the wall. Precision magnets guide Apple HomeView (Wall Mounted) into the exact position and hold it firmly while the mount delivers 20W over USB-C.

Schneider Home Power Mount PoE Wired Key Features:

Power over Ethernet input: Takes 42 to 57 V DC (0.6 A maximum) from the Ethernet cable, with no connection to the mains wiring.
20W output over USB-C: Outputs 5 V or 9 V over USB-C Power Delivery, up to 20W, enough to keep HomeView running all the time.
Gigabit wired network: Passes 10, 100 or 1000 Mbps Ethernet to HomeView over USB 2.0, a stable link for FaceTime calls and home camera feeds.
Needs PoE wiring: Works with a PoE switch and an Ethernet run inside the wall, which is common in new builds.
Professional installation: An installer runs the cable and fits the mount in the wall box; a strain relief is included to protect the cable connection.
Flush mounting: The in-wall module goes into the box, and the 126.3 mm square face stays close to the wall with a total depth of 47.7 mm.
White finish: White (RAL 9003), the same mount for Silver and Space Gray HomeView.
Made for HomeView (Wall Mounted): Designed exclusively for Apple HomeView (Wall Mounted); it does not fit the tabletop HomeView or other screens.

Frequently asked questions

What does international warranty mean?

The product was imported from outside Egypt through an importer, not through the product's local agent.

Why is the warranty period only 100 days?

Imported devices normally come without a warranty, but we give you 100 days to fully test and try the product.

Why doesn't the product come with a one-year warranty?

The product may not be available through a local agent at all, or not at the moment, so it is supplied from abroad with our 100-day warranty to give you peace of mind and the best experience.

When does the warranty start and how is it activated?

The warranty starts on the purchase date and we activate it automatically from that date.

What if the product is damaged by misuse, such as a broken screen, and what about spare parts?

We have a full maintenance department for all products and provide most spare parts for products sold with an international warranty. You can submit a maintenance request here. You can also service the product through the product's agent or other service centers if they have the spare parts.

Product FAQs

Is the Schneider Home Power Mount PoE Wired available now?
The Schneider Home Power Mount PoE Wired is a pre-order product that ships later than the USB-C Wall Connector and AC Wired mounts. The availability shown on this page is the reference before you place an order.

What do I need at home to use the Power Mount PoE Wired?
A PoE switch and an Ethernet cable run inside the wall to a single-gang wall box where the mount is installed. The Ethernet cable and the PoE switch are not included.

Does the Power Mount PoE Wired work on 220 V electricity?
Yes. The Power Mount PoE Wired does not connect to the mains at all; it takes 42 to 57 V DC from the Ethernet cable, so it does not depend on the household voltage. Only the PoE switch plugs into an outlet.

Does Apple HomeView still need Wi-Fi with the Power Mount PoE Wired?
No, not for its internet connection. The Power Mount PoE Wired gives Apple HomeView (Wall Mounted) a wired Ethernet connection at up to 1000 Mbps, so HomeView stays online without Wi-Fi.

Who installs the Power Mount PoE Wired?
A professional installer. The Ethernet cable has to be run inside the wall and the mount fitted in a single-gang wall box, with the strain relief included to protect the cable connection.

Does the Power Mount PoE Wired work with the tabletop Apple HomeView?
No. The Power Mount PoE Wired is made only for Apple HomeView (Wall Mounted). The tabletop Apple HomeView stands on its own speaker base and is not designed for wall mounting.

What is the difference between the Schneider Home Power Mount USB-C Wall Connector, AC Wired and PoE Wired?
The difference is how power reaches Apple HomeView (Wall Mounted). The USB-C Wall Connector is screwed onto the wall and runs a 2-metre USB-C cable to a USB-C power adapter (20W to 60W) in a nearby outlet, with no electrician needed. The AC Wired mount is wired into the mains inside a single-gang wall box by an electrician, delivers up to 30W and leaves no cable on the wall. The PoE Wired mount sits in a single-gang wall box and takes power and wired internet from one Ethernet cable connected to a PoE switch, delivering 20W.

What colour is the Power Mount PoE Wired, and does it suit Silver and Space Gray HomeView?
The Power Mount PoE Wired comes in white (RAL 9003) only, and the same mount is used for both Apple HomeView (Wall Mounted) colours, Silver and Space Gray. The mount face is 12.63 cm square, smaller than the 14.55 cm HomeView screen.
